A Christmas tribute to our old neighbour, Lenny The Prize Bull

My husband Bob & I love where we live. Our neighbours are so kind and friendly. But a few years back, we rented a farm where I had my art studio in one of 3 barns. It was idyllic. 

Again, the neighbours were wonderful. Our immediate neighbour was a Highland cattle breeder, with a herd of around 50 that grazed the surrounding fields. The prize bull and daddy of most of the herd was Lenny. Lenny was huge. In our first month of moving in, we woke up to find the mighty Lenny wandering round our garden showing great interest in our clothes on the washing line. We often spent time with the very cute new-born highlanders. Here is a photo we took of one of old Lenny's young calves.

Recently Bob was commissioned to paint a Highland Bull. The client was thrilled with it, and Bob enjoyed it so much that he began another which he finished this week.
